Gloss

Glossy vinyl wraps provide a shimmering and shiny appearance, much like a clearcoat or glossy paint. They are one of the most popular choices for personal use.

Satin

Satin finishes offer a sophisticated middle ground between glossy and matte finishes. Not shiny, but still a bit reflective, they offer an impressive luster that grabs attention.

Matte

This type of finish eliminates the reflective appearance of conventional car paint, resulting in a soft feel and luxurious appearance. Matte wraps will emphasize the contours and angles of your vehicle.

+

How long does the installation process take?

-Scheduling: You can expect your installation to be scheduled within approximately two weeks of order confirmation. In some cases, much sooner. -Installation: Upon dropping off your vehicle, the wrap process typically takes three to five days, depending on factors such as the type of vehicle and the extent of the color change.

+

Can a wrap be removed?

-Yes, wraps are designed to be removable. However, we do not recommend uninstalling the vehicle wrap yourself, as this could cause damage to the factory paint job. -When done by a professional, and if the paint was in good original condition, the removal process should not damage the underlying paint. -Talk to your vehicle wrap service provider about their removal process.

+

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

For optimal performance and adherence to our warranty, we recommend professional removal of the wrap after two years of use. This timeframe ensures that the wrap maintains its quality and appearance throughout its lifespan.

How will I know if the wrap will fit my vehicle?

Ford Vehicle Wraps has exclusive access to exact from-the-factory vehicle dimensions for each Ford make, model, and year.

+

Does it matter what color my car is?

No. Ford Vehicle Wraps are opaque and will completely conceal the original paint finish in all areas to which they are applied. However, your original factory finish will show in areas to which the wrap is not applied, such as door jambs, trunk jambs, under the hood, and other areas that are not considered exterior surfaces.

+

Does my car need to be in certain condition before wrapping?

Yes. Your vehicle surface must be clean and free of dips, dings, or dents to ensure the vinyl will adhere properly.

+

Should I wash my car before turning it over to the installer?

Yes. It is recommended that you wash your vehicle before drop-off. Cleaning the surface removes dirt, dust, and contaminants that can hinder proper adhesion and increase prep time for the installation.

+

Can you wrap a car to cover up bad paint?

It is not recommended to wrap over a bad paint job. Any repainted surfaces of the vehicle that is wrapped would be void of any Ford Vehicle Wraps warranty in the event of an adhesive failure, bubble, or peel.

+

Can unpainted or primed vehicles or body components be wrapped?

No. The surface texture of primed and unpainted vehicles or body kits does not allow for proper adhesion which can lead to the failure and lifting of the wrap.

+

Can you wrap a fiberglass bumper or accessory?

No. The surface texture of fiberglass does not allow for proper adhesion which can lead to the failure and lifting of the wrap.

How do I clean and maintain my wrap?

-Wraps should only be cleaned using a gentle hand wash with mild soaps, soft sponges, and microfiber cloths. -Avoid automatic car washes, which can void your warranty. -Do not use any polishing or wax product, abrasive polishes, or harsh chemicals that could potentially degrade the wrap over time.

+

How do I remove difficult contaminants from my vehicle wrap?

-Spot-clean contaminants such as bug splatter, bird droppings, tree sap, and similar contaminants by soaking them for several minutes with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. -If residue remains on the surface, remove it with a gentle, all-purpose cleaner. -Do not use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools, which will scratch the film.

+

What if I spill fuel on my vehicle wrap?

Wipe off immediately to avoid degrading the vinyl and adhesive. Then wash, rinse, and dry as soon as possible.

+

Do I have to store my wrapped vehicle in a garage?

-Wrap films (just like paint) are degraded by prolonged exposure to sun and atmospheric pollutants, particularly on horizontal surfaces such as a hood, trunk lid, and roof. -Store your vehicle indoors or under cover whenever possible. -At night, if a garage is not available, consider using a cloth car cover to protect from dew or rain containing acidic pollutants (a common problem in large metro areas). -If your wrap film starts to discolor or turn brown (caused by acidic pollution), immediately have a professional remove the wrap film from the vehicle to avoid staining the underlying paint.

+

Does my vehicle lose resale value with a wrap?

As wraps are completely removable and don’t damage the original paint, your vehicle’s resale value is not degraded.
